Full Job Description

We are seeking a Group Consolidation Accountant to assist the Group Consolidation Manager and the Group Financial Controller with the statutory consolidation of the Group's financial results. The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified or qualified accountant with experience of a statutory consolidation under IFRS.,

  • Own the Group's record of intercompany balances and intercompany matrix
  • Ensure intercompany balances are correctly stated and eliminated at a Group level.
  • Liaise with regional Finance teams regarding intercompany balances as appropriate.
  • Resolution of historic intercompany accounting issues.
  • Ensure intercompany loans are supported by loan agreements.
  • Ensure intercompany interest has been correctly recorded.
  • Assist the Group Consolidation Manager with the following:
  • + Preparation of the Group's monthly consolidation for statutory accounting purposes. + Annual audit. + Acquisition accounting + Technical accounting memos + Year end accounting adjustments (IFRS 2, IFRS 9 etc.) + Audit Committee preparation + Review of accounting for property costs under IFRS 16. + Preparation of quarterly and annual compliance statements. + Preparation of lender reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement in Finance processes.

    Group accounting experience
  • Experience of preparing intercompany reconciliations
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency environment
  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a private equity-backed or fast-growth environment is advantageous
  • Behavioural Skills
  • Comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities in an evolving environment
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to get hands-on
