Full Job Description

Our Global Technology Engineer will focus on the development and deployment of filling, capping, and upstream equipment technology for common production equipment within the Reckitt group, across all categories and geographies. They will provide technical leadership, expertise, and support for equipment and systems related to filling, capping, and upstream equipment technology for liquids and creams packing, and own standardisation of equipment and vendor pool to leverage cost, lead time, efficiency and best practices. They will support compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of filling, capping and upstream equipment systems in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, FDA, MHRA, EU FMD) and other business objectives. The role requires the ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organisation, fostering a continuous improvement culture, with close collaboration with factories for effective implementation of equipment standards.Your responsibilities

  • Engage cross-functional technical SMEs to set common standards for the related production equipment across categories and geographies.
  • Embed equipment standardisation within the CAPEX process to ensure equipment purchases follow process.
  • Engage procurement to develop a vendor pool for self care, and intimate wellness filling, capping, and upstream equipment assisting in tender processes if required.
  • Collaborate with vendors, system integrators, and IT/OT teams for new installations and upgrades.
  • Develop URSs and standards for equipment ensuring performance improvement and deploy across the business. Ensure these are aligned to Reckitt and regulatory technical requirements.
  • Provide technical advice through maintained up-to-date industry knowledge on filling, capping, and upstream equipment. Becoming the SME on these projects and equipment.
  • Delivery and assistsing in delivery of key business Capex projects.
  • Provide key technical expertise to support and lead writing and reviewing URS, vendor selection, OEM progress monitoring, factory and site acceptance testing (FAT & SAT) support in support of Site Capital Engineering teams, the location of which will be varied.
  • Review performance and KPI's for key OEMs.
  • In collaboration with Reckitt production system (RPS) and Reliability Engineering monitor equipment performance, reliability, and compliance and link to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Capture inputs from RPS and Operations teams. Work with vendors to ensure our standards are following the latest technological trends and where possible implement right innovative solutions which fit our business needs.

    Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering out of which 2 years in a senior project or engineering leadership role in within the consumer-packaged goods or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of liquid filling, capping, and blister packing equipment of different product types and technologies.
  • Experience in driving equipment standardisation single site or preferably across multisite.
  • Background in Capex management, including project prioritisation, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with global or matrixed organisations; ability to navigate cross-functional and cross-regional complexity.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in filling technologies, especially in pharmaceutical or personal care industries.
  • Knowledge of filling, capping, and upstream equipment of different viscosity and different types and different technologies.
  • Knowledge of process utility requirements including HVAC, drainage, compressed air, power and data networking.
  • Primary material delivery - bulk material feeding and process connection.
  • Storage and cleaning requirements and technologies, including dry and wet cleaning (including CIP).
  • Willingness to travel as required.
