• Winter Hours - 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday

About the Role The successful candidate will undertake a range of grounds maintenance and horticultural duties across public parks, Local Nature Reserves, playing fields, housing estates, allotments, cemeteries and other green spaces. Key responsibilities include: · Grass cutting, hedge trimming and general horticultural maintenance · Driving vehicles and operating plant and machinery including vans and ride-on mowers · Preparing and maintaining sports pitches and fine turf areas · Undertaking vehicle and equipment checks · Assisting with landscaping, site preparation and tree care activities · Supporting the set-up and dismantling of sports and other equipment · Completing work records and maintaining safe working practices · Supporting winter maintenance and snow clearing operations when required · Provide direction to contractors, trainees or small teams where appropriate
