Futures Clearing Operations | Reconciliations (Vice President)

Citi is seeking a Vice President within Markets Operations supporting our Exchange Traded Derivatives, OTC Clearing, and FX Prime Brokerage business. Specifically, the role will have a focus on the tracking and resolving of cash exceptions for Exchange Traded products (Listed Futures - ETD) on markets where CITI has memberships. For context the wider Global ETD supporting teams reside in Tampa, Belfast, London, and Pune .The candidate will be expected to build peer relationships, work seamlessly with team members and contribute within the wider global team in ETD and across international boundaries. The role will require a high degree of detailed knowledge in ETD products (globally) and knowledge on how ETD products are correctly reconciled across cash types. The remediation of these items will need to be organized, tracked and communicated to Snr. Ops managers and Business partners. The candidate will report into the Global Head of ETD Exchange Fee Remediation. The candidate will support business analysis, strategy, key metric delivery, and subject matter expertise relating to day-to-day futures operations management. Additional responsibilities include initiatives aligned to organizational priorities of process and platform simplification, service, robust control environment and internal/external audit planning. What you'll do

• Collaborate with the London-based team on day-to-day reconciliation of ETD cash types and break remediation.
• Lead the determination of pass-through fees on ETD products and drive remediation efforts, including supporting complex workflows to root cause resolution with various stakeholders.
• Gain extensive exposure to senior business managers, clients, and product controllers overseeing financial statements and ledgers.
• Implement balance sheet control measures to ensure accurate revenue and transaction expense settlement.
• Identify and implement process improvements and control enhancements.
• Prepare and present clear, articulate status updates to Senior Management and key stakeholders, tailored to the audience.
• Ensure adherence to all control, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage exception reporting and escalate issues appropriately to Senior Management.
• Provide strategic direction and advocacy for supported functions and processes.
• Offer thought leadership to Senior Management by staying informed of industry trends, technology advancements, and competitor practices.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors, providing timely information as required.
  
  Extensive experiencein Futures Clearing and/or Markets Operations management.
• Demonstrated expertise in Reconciliations, Operations, Trade Management, and control best practices.
• Proven experience in process improvement and exhibiting thought leadership.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage compellingly with all levels of management and across functional areas.
• Adept at navigating complex, dynamic, and highly matrixed environments, managing conflicting priorities with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong influencing skills, capable of building consensus and fostering support among diverse stakeholders, including peers, internal partners, external contacts, and senior decision-makers.
• A proactive and inquisitive mindset with a continuous drive to identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Highly analytical and logical thinker with strong data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to accurately assess risk levels, escalate potential concerns appropriately, and develop effective remediation plans.
