Full Job Description

As an Explainer, you will support the delivery of a highly regarded and diverse public program throughout a busy museum. You will join a diverse, collaborative team and deliver a variety of science shows and demonstrations, lead workshops, and support learning in our interactive galleries for schools, families, adults, and community groups.

Do you have experience working in a public facing role and confidence in performing and presenting content such as shows, demonstrations and workshops? Would you like to inspire futures and reveal the wonder of science to diverse audiences?, By joining us, you will contribute solid communication skills, be comfortable engaging with people of every age, and value working with diverse visitors. You'll bring an understanding of what good customer service looks and sounds like and will be able to work well within a team, with the ability to use initiative and seek support to resolve issues.

    We are now recruiting for Explainers to join on a 12-month fixed term contract. This will be on a part-time weekend basis, working 15 hours per week, based at the Science Museum in London.
