Full Job Description

We are seeking applicants for a 12 months fixed term post with excellent project management, analytical and communication skills to join the team who ensure there are sufficient early education and childcare places in Cambridgeshire for children and young people in the 0-19 age range and up to the age of 25 for those with special educational needs and disability (SEND). The successful applicant will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders (including settings, schools, governing bodies, academy trusts and the Department for Education) to ensure that the Council has a secure understanding of local sufficiency and proactively engages with the market to facilitate the creation of places, where required., Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, along with our employee network 'IDEAL' and self-organised peer support groups help us to foster an inclusive, supportive and safe working environment where people feel valued, respected, and empowered. We collect relevant diversity data for monitoring as part of the recruitment process to understand the diversity of our applicants and monitor any trends throughout the recruitment processes so that we can take meaningful action.

Applicants need to be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the provision of early education and school aged childcare, and school places for children and young people, including those with SEND, in the 0-25 age range.
