Full Job Description

Responsible for taking complex data problems the business is facing, analysing, and presenting to stakeholders. This includes the development of tools that aim for as much transparency and accessibility as possible, empowering the business. Within Counterparty Trading & Risk, the Markets Capital Advancement team is the central team that drives and oversees execution and management of capital initiatives. Primary Responsibilities of the Role

  • Provide data-driven analysis and insights to product desks and key business partners to support informed decision-making.
  • Conduct strategic and complex data analysis, identifying key trends, insights and business implications, and translating findings into actionable recommendations
  • Analyse and interpret data across multiple platforms and data sources to identify optimisation opportunities and continuously improve data quality.
  • Partner with users and clients to assess and resolve complex system and process-related issues, evaluating business processes, systems and industry standards to recommend effective solutions.
  • Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Technology, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex requirements, challenges and solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills when working across diverse teams and seniority levels.

  • Mentor and technically lead Associate and Analyst-level quantitative professionals, conducting code reviews, guiding methodology, and fostering a culture of excellence

    5-8+ years of experience in data analytics involving large and complex datasets, ideally within Financial Markets.
  • Proven ability to analyse business requirements and identify and resolve complex data issues
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills are essential; experience with other programming languages would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information effectively
  • Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively both within the immediate team and across broader functions.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree or higher in a numerate or quantitative discipline.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
