Full Job Description

PwC's Energy Team is recruiting Senior Managers and Managers with corporate tax experience. With hubs in London, Aberdeen and Manchester, we support energy clients, including integrated oil and gas groups, mining houses and commodity traders, renewables and other low-carbon businesses, as they progress toward net zero. Based in London, you'll work with our UK-wide Energy Tax team, gaining exposure to clients and deals nationwide, and build global relationships through our international client base. We value inclusion, diversity and flexible working. You'll deliver tax services to large energy clients; sector experience is preferred but not essential What your days will look like

  • Partnering with Directors and Partners to build Energy client relationships, spot opportunities and act as trusted adviser on corporate tax issues.
  • Owning a portfolio of Energy clients as day-to-day tax lead, coordinating compliance and wider PwC teams to deliver high-quality, joined-up service.
  • Leading varied advisory engagements (restructuring, debt/equity reorganisations, Pillar 2, CIR, permanent establishments and loss utilisation) and, where required, delivering tax due diligence and structuring for M&A.
  • Managing and developing junior team members, strengthening internal networks across the wider Energy practice, and tracking client investment and key financial metrics.

Practice-trained finance professional with a relevant qualification (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CTA) or International equivalent.
  • Experience advising large corporate clients on UK and international tax matters.
  • Willingness to upskill and build capability in AI-enabled tax technology.
  • Proven client relationship skills, with effective leadership and coordination of internal teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to summarise complex tax issues clearly.
  • Organised and deadline-focused, with a proactive mindset and commitment to ongoing development.

In order to be the leading professional services firm it's important we have the right values, culture and behaviours embedded throughout our organisation, so our work reflects our purpose and we can successfully deliver our strategy.
  • Our values set the expectations for the way we interact with each other, our clients, and in the communities in which we operate. These values, and the behaviours that they require from us, are relevant to all our people regardless of grade. They support a culture that empowers our people to be the best they can be, through challenging experiences and encouraging our people to speak up to make the firm a better place. We want all our people to understand and embrace the culture and personally feel part of the legacy this will create for our future employees. We're a hugely diverse business, bound together by our purpose - to build trust in society and solve important problems for our clients and the communities in which we operate. We believe we can make the biggest impact when our purpose is embedded within everything we do.
