Full Job Description

The post holder will be supported by a team of clinical research nurses and the Clinical Operations Manager. The role is ideal for highly motivated individuals who are keen to develop their career in clinical trials. The post holder will work in close collaboration with the Principal Investigator and Research Support Staff, to ensure compliance with Trust Policy, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Tissue Act (HTA), and trial specific protocols.

As a Clinical Trial Practitioner, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of our clinical research portfolio within the research directorate division. You will provide specialist skills and knowledge to coordinate and manage clinical trials and be responsible to provide high-quality research. Your main responsibility will be ensuring recruitment of patients, completion of trial related activities and reliable data collection as per protocol requirements in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Research Governance and local Trust policies for research. You will be required to plan and manage your own workload effectively and demonstrate effective time management and prioritisation. A proactive, flexible and solution orientated approach is essential. The ability to work autonomously but in collaboration with others is essential. Strong communication and organisational skills are also essential.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Trial Practitioner to become part of the Epilepsy Trials Team at NHNN. The Clinical Trial Practitioner will provide exceptional specialist clinical research skills to epilepsy patients at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery with potential extension to the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy. This includes a portfolio of commercial, non-commercial trials and observational studies. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail. The successful candidate will demonstrate willingness to learn and an interest in working across a diverse portfolio at NHNN and Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy.
