Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Norwich City Football Club in the role of Catering Duty Manager to cover our busy Christmas party season. This is an excellent role for someone who is motivated and enthusiastic with proven experience in the catering industry. This is a fixed-term position from 1 November 2026 until 2 January 2026 working 40 hours per week across 5 days out of 7 (which includes unsociable hours, evenings, weekends and some Bank Holidays). Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing Christmas party events and supporting wider catering operations across the Club.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and beverage service, maintaining exceptional standards throughout all events.
  • Responding quickly and effectively to operational issues, minimising disruption to service.
  • Leading, motivating, and supervising a large team of casual catering staff, providing guidance, support, and addressing performance concerns where necessary.
  • Acting as a role model and ambassador for the Club's values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride, and Commitment.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Supporting operational planning and event preparation through effective communication, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Assisting the Front of House team when required to ensure seamless service delivery across all areas of the business.
  • Ensuring compliance with Food Hygiene regulations, Health and Safety requirements, and Licensing laws.
  • To promote safer working practice and maintain a culture whereby safeguarding is recognised as a shared responsibility.
  • To work to create an inclusive and wellbeing-focused culture in accordance with the Club's A Home For Everyone Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) campaign and champion the Club's Statement of Commitment for EDI.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to work across all front of house areas, consistently delivering Norwich City Football Club's brand standards. Strong IT skills are essential, alongside the ability to effectively plan, prepare, and coordinate the delivery of events. The role would ideally suit a driven and determined individual with proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate, manage, and inspire a large catering team in a fast-paced environment.
