Full Job Description
You will play a key role in supporting the recruitment, mentoring and development of apprentices across the Trust, helping individuals to thrive within their chosen career pathways. You will also coordinate and support work experience and placement programmes, working with schools, colleges, universities and external partners to widen access to NHS careers. A large part of your role will involve building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to create meaningful and well-structured placement and work experience opportunities. You will support managers and education providers to ensure placements are safe, well prepared and deliver positive outcomes for participants. You will act as a point of guidance for apprentices, providing mentoring and pastoral support, and helping them to succeed within the Trust. You will also organise and attend careers events, recruitment activities and engagement sessions that promote the NHS as a place to learn, develop and build a career. You will advise managers on appropriate placement structures, matching applicants to suitable placements and prioritising engagement activities and events to maximise impact and reach. We are looking for:
- An enthusiastic individual who is a team player who is at ease in building relationships with all stakeholders
- An individual that enjoys working with students and apprentices on a 1:1 basis or as part of larger cohorts
The Career Development team plays a vital role in shaping the future workforce across the Trust.
