Capacity Manager

There is an exciting opportunity within the Site Management Team for a Band 6 Capacity Manager to join the team. The role gives an indepth insight into patient flow, safety with change and innovation as we move towards the opening of the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.You will be working cross sites to manage the capacity on the site and maintain excellent patient flow by working closely with clinical teams,supporting services and external partners, The post holders main responsibilities include being familiar with all aspects of Patient Flow/Capacity Management processes operating within in the Trust; ensuring that site safety and discharge meetings/forums are coordinated and managed within agreed guidelines. This will includecollating reports and working with Divisions and Consultants to meet the targets/Trust standards.To ensure that patients identified for discharge by clinical teams are actually discharged as soon as possible by providing guidance and advice; Toliaise with clinical teams to agree plans to support the delivery of capacity to accommodate demand of each clinical specialty.The post holder must have a comprehensive understanding of National agenda, ensuring internal and external processes support the local andnational agenda's and monitor the process of complex discharges against the Trust Quality Indicators and local and national targets.

Interested candidates must have current and measurable experience working within an Acute Trust; knowledge of Patient Administration Systemand NHS experience. They must also meet the essential qualification criteria for the role with GCSE English or equivalentGrade C or above; a degree or equivalent experience in management and significant management experience of corporate processes, drivingchange in clinical pathways.
