Full Job Description
We are looking for someone to join our team of admin staff that works closely with our Inspectors and the public to provide the regulatory Building Control function for the council.
The work is varied in our department and some of the day-to-day tasks that you might be expected to perform are:
- Registering new and supporting existing Building Control applications using the Uniform system and the council's data management system
- Acting as a first point of contact for enquiries from the public, builders, architects and other third-party suppliers
- Responding to enquiries from the Council's Customer Service Team
- Responding to reports of a Dangerous Structure and escalate accordingly
- Inspection diary management
Good communication skills, using both telephone and email are essential. Experience of using Uniform, Word, Excel and Outlook would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given., Disability Confident

Hours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 2 days per week working in the office).
