Biomedical Support Worker - Cellular Pathology

This post will offer successful applicants the opportunity to support the Trusts cancer & diagnostics testing, coupled with other duties including preparing samples for analysis, inputting patient data, maintaining lab equipment and dealing with enquiries.

Candidates will have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to work alongside other Biomedical Support Workers and Biomedical Scientists as part of a team., Duties will include maintaining laboratory equipment, aiding laboratory staff in some aspects of technical work, entry of patient data onto the pathology computer system and assisting medical staff with diagnostic tissue handling of operative specimens. Good literacy, biological science, numeracy and communication skills are required; keyboard skills would be an advantage.

You should have the ability to work as part of a team and to manage your own workload. Previous experience of medical terminology anddata entry.
