As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will: Deliver high-quality Histopathology service. Perform preventative maintenance of laboratory instruments before use. Perform manual and automated laboratory investigations safely, efficiently, and meeting agreed timelines. Maintain reagent management procedures effectively. Perform tissue and specimen dissection activities within scope of practice. Monitor and assess the accuracy of laboratory investigations using appropriate quality control procedures in place. Oversee the calibration and maintanance of laboratory instruments. and performance issues to Laboratory Management. Escalate potential service delivery risks and failures to the , Laboratory Management and Clinical Lead. Participate in pre-analytical and post-analytical specimen and result processing and management. Work with senior staff to implement corrective actions where issues arise. Manage urgent and time-sensitive samples and assess the suitability of specimens for analysis.   Essential Requirements IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Cellular Pathology or equivalent. Previous recent experience working in a UKAS accredited Histopathology laboratory.
