Full Job Description

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients' pathway of care. The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide support in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.,

  • Process and log all referrals in line with Trust Access Policy and specialty SOP
  • ...
  • To use the 18 weeks referral to treatment (RTT) to manage all outpatient and elective patient journeys.
  • ...
  • Ensure that Trust agreed standard of service is delivered to patients requiring elective admission to speciality
  • ...
  • To exercise initiative and judgement based on acquired knowledge and experience when dealing with enquiries
  • ...
  • Ability to analyse and extract complex data sets from a number of different sources.
  • ...
  • Organise own day-to-day work tasks showing an ability to prioritise in order to achieve set timescales.
  • ...
  • Work collaboratively as part of an integrated team.
  • ...
  • Work within and keep up to date with National and Trust legislation, guidelines, policies, procedures, protocols and code of conduct relating to own role.
  • ...
  • Maintain stock control such as stationery, clinical supplies, equipment and uniforms.
  • ...
  • Participate in the induction and training of all new members of staff.
  • ...
  • To liaise with medical records with regard to availability of medical notes as appropriate.

  • Provide reciprocal cover for administrative team during annual leave and sicknessabsence.

  • Demonstrate high levels of customer care and be an ambassador for customer care within the Trust.

  • To attend all statutory and mandatory training as and when required to do so
