Full Job Description

  • Monitor livestock daily, supporting herd health, welfare and productivity, and identifying any concerns promptly.
  • Assist with calving seasons, including calf health, welfare, handling and tagging.
  • Weigh, vaccinate and handle livestock safely and confidently.
  • Maintain clean, safe and well-presented yards, feed troughs, water points, facilities and equipment.
  • Work closely with the Livestock Manager and wider team to ensure high standards across the enterprise.

    We are now looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Livestock Manager to join our beef cattle team on a full-time, permanent basis, working closely with the Livestock Manager to support the day-to-day care and management of the herd., 3 to 5 years' previous experience in a similar stock handling or livestock role.
  • A strong eye for detail and a genuine commitment to animal health and welfare.
  • Good physical fitness and confidence working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • A valid manual driving licence.
  • A telehandler ticket is desirable, but not essential, as training can be provided.
