Full Job Description

The Apprentice will be undertaking a training programme within the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Training will be delivered through education sessions and time spent completing administration duties under supervision to complete the required qualification. The Apprentice will commit to undertake the training and educations required for the role, and successfully complete all components of the training programme within the contract period. This will include completion of Diploma Level 2 Administration Assistant. Working under supervision; The Apprentice will carry out a variety of Administration & Clerical work in a Clinical or Non-Clinical area, with the possibility of some direct (supervised) or indirect patient contact, depending on allocated area of work. Dealing with telephone calls, e-mails and face to face contact with Trust Staff and members of the public, ensuring enquiries are dealt with in an efficient, polite and courteous manner.

New to the NHS: If you are joining the NHS for the first time, you will be paid at the Apprentice Rate, which is currently £8.00 per hour for the first year of your apprenticeship. After the first year, you will be paid the age-related National Minimum Wage for the remainder of your fixed-term contract. Existing NHS Employees: If you already have NHS experience, your pay will be determined in accordance with Annex 21 of the Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions. This means you will receive a percentage of the relevant pay band for the role, reflective of your current qualifications and experience.
