Barclays as a Software Engineer. Join our team to design, develop, and enhance innovative software solutions that empower our customers and colleagues. You'll apply modern engineering practices to build impactful business, platform, and technology capabilities. To be successful as a Software Engineer, you should have experience with: Java development with Spring Boot, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and test automation. CI/CD pipelines, orchestration and release management using tools like GitLab, Bitbucket, and Jenkins. Development and monitoring tools such as IntelliJ, AppDynamics, Energy storage as a service (ESaaS), and Kibana. Some other highly valued skills may include: Delivering high-quality software solutions with robust testing, adherence to coding standards, and full technical ownership. Providing technical leadership, including mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews in alignment with strategic goals. Collaborating with stakeholders to develop
solutions, troubleshoot issues, and define architectural guidelines and best practices. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as wellas job-specifi c technical skills. This role has the option to work from either of the following locations: Knutsford or Manchester.
