Full Job Description
Working as a member of the Voice and Data team within the ICT department, the successful candidate will be responsible the development, installation, and on-going operational management and support of the Health Board's voice and data infrastructure.
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified, experienced, and self-motivated Voice and Data (Network) Engineer to be based at Abergele/Bangor/Wrexham., Ideally, the post holder should have a relevant Degree/HND and/or demonstrable equivalent experience of:
- Data Networking Technologies (including LAN and WAN)
- Network Protocols (TCP/IP and Ethernet)
- Voice and Video Communication Technologies
- Network Security Technologies (including Firewall and Intrusion Prevention Systems)
- Wireless Networking Technologies Additionally the post holder should have excellent trouble shooting and interpersonal skills as they will be required to provide specialist technical 3 rd line support to departmental colleagues and 3 rd party providers. The post holder may be asked to work across all BCUHB sites and locations, therefore the ability to access transport (public and/or private) to travel off site is essential. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
