Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced cloud engineer to join Causeway's IT team. You will be part of the IT Team, responsible for delivering IT solutions within Causeway to meet current and future organisational needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for using their knowledge of technology to design, develop and implement cloud and infrastructure solutions and services to improve Causeway's operational capabilities. The role will involve both support, with escalation of tickets / cases and projects. The role will report to the Head of IT.,
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions on platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support the product and engineering delivery teams.
- Implement and maintain automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to streamline provisioning and management of cloud resources.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure performance, security, and costs, utilising monitoring tools and logging frameworks (e.g. DataDog, Azure Monitor).
- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), data encryption, network security, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices (e.g. GDPR, CSA).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Review existing systems and processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document technical architectures, standards, and best practices for cloud computing, and ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategies and objectives.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including IT management team and Engineering teams, providing updates on performance, upcoming changes, and other relevant information.
Proven experience in Microsoft Server, Endpoint Manager and Policies (Intune) - Experience working with Firewalls and TCP/IP Networking
- Use of common backup and disaster recovery software
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills and share knowledge and mentor other technicians.
- Great communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working with at least one of AWS, Azure, GCP and VMware
- Experience of working in Agile teams being aware of Agile methodologies (using Scrum or Kanban)
- Demonstrable experience of working with Linux technologies
- Sonicwall network infrastructure, ideally SDWAN
- Endpoint Security including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- AWS/Aure/GCP/VMware qualifications relevant to the role Essential Experience
