Full Job Description
Location: London x 3 days a week Join Royal Mail's Data RevolutionRoyal Mail is on a mission to transform into a tech-driven, data-led business. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering our data strategy, working closely with Data Science and Analytics teams to build scalable, innovative solutions that drive real business impact.What You'll Do:
- Design and implement cloud-native data platforms (GCP preferred)
- Build and optimise robust data pipelines and real-time ingestion frameworks
- Deploy machine learning models into production (MLOps experience a plus)
- Lead cross-functional teams and mentor engineers
- Drive automation across CI/CD, infrastructure, and testing
Proven experience in data engineering with Python, Scala, Spark, Kafka - Hands-on expertise with GCP tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, PubSub, etc.)
- Strong DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud deployment skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- A passion for innovation, automation, and continuous improvement, Degree in a relevant field or equivalent certifications in Cloud/Data Engineering
