Join Active Care Group's Care in the Home Team! Exciting Support Worker Roles Across Wales. Active Care Group's Care in the Home Wales division is growing! We're passionate about delivering safe, reliable, and outcome-focused care, thanks to our exceptional team of support workers, clinicians, and leaders. Our vision for Care in the Home in Wales continues to expand, and we're looking for highly motivated, proactive Support Workers who share our commitment to providing empowering care that enables clients to live independently in their own homes.

Join Us in Making a Difference-One Smile at a Time

Step into a role that's as meaningful as it is heartwarming. You'll be supporting a spirited young woman with complex care needs - Kyphoscoliosis - right in the comfort of her lovely home. Whether you join us for 12-hour day shifts or cozy waking nights, your presence will make all the difference. You'll be by her side with dignity and compassion - helping with movement, personal care, and creating a calm and cheerful atmosphere. On evening shifts, your quiet companionship will offer peace of mind and comfort. This is more than a job - it's connection, purpose, and care rolled into one beautiful experience.

Meet the client: Meet the lady behind the smile

Say hello to a truly remarkable young woman. She loves music, Disney films, and a good giggle - especially when you're ready to "act the goat" with her! Though she has complex care needs, her zest for life and infectious laugh are truly uplifting. Your job? Be the person who makes her day just a little brighter. This is her home, and she'd love you to feel like part of the family. Bring your slippers (yes, really!) and settle in. Evening shifts can be peaceful - plenty of time to read, watch movies, or brush up on new skills while staying nearby if she needs you.

What you'll be working:

  • Choose from 12-hour day shifts or waking nights - whatever suits you best (8am-8pm, 8pm-8am)
  • Full-time, part-time, or casual - we're flexible so your schedule can be too
  • You'll tell us your availability each month, putting you in charge of your work-life balance

What We're Looking For:

  • A truly kind and compassionate heart
  • Reliability and flexibility - we're building real trust with those we support
  • Warmth, respect, and the ability to put someone at ease

If you're excited to be part of a supportive team where your role truly impacts others, we'd love to hear from you. Join Active Care Group and make a difference every day!

What we can offer you:

  • Excellent Training from our Learning Hub and Clinical training from our Nurses
  • Paid DBS Check
  • Regular consistent work with set rolling rotas
  • Accrued holiday pay
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1000 by recommending someone you know
  • Support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care Group

What we need from you:

  • Passionate about allowing client to exercise choice and control over their own lives as far as they are able in everyday matters as much as possible
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to learn about different cultures and beliefs
  • Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family members, adhering to direction from the care manager as appropriate

Active Care Group is an Equal Opportunities Employer. However, due to the nature of the position, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement to recruit female Personal Healthcare Assistants. We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. To support this, we are a Disability confident employer.
