Full Job Description

You will play a key role in promoting the wellbeing, confidence and independence of our service users. This includes:

  • Supporting daily activities based on individual needs and interests.
  • Helping service users make the most of their local community.
  • Providing personal care and administering medication (training provided).
  • Supporting and delivering a fun, varied activity programme alongside the team.
  • Acting as a keyworker, maintaining clear and professional records.
  • Assisting with transport duties (driver or passenger assistant, as needed).
  • About the Pottergate Centre: At the Pottergate Centre, care is more than a job - it's a community. Alongside personal care and medication, you'll support a wide range of activities including:
  • Sports sessions (kurling, cricket, pickleball) at the local sports centre, working alongside Smile Through Sports.
  • Rhythmstix drumming group, sensory sessions, FitSticks, gardening, arts and crafts, pamper sessions, creative design, music and more.
  • Social events like discos, bingo, BBQs, and our exciting Christmas programme.
  • Cooking and baking for our social enterprise, Pottergate Pantry.
  • We're big on creativity and co-production. Each year, our service users help shape the direction of our service. Your own ideas and interests are welcomed - whether you love music, crafts, sport or something completely different, we'd love to hear how you could bring your energy to our centre.

  • A good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A positive, flexible attitude and genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong, respectful relationships.
  • Willingness to complete relevant training and uphold care standards.
  • A full driving licence is desirable, but not essential.
