Be the Difference Every Day - Lead With Kindness, Purpose and Pride
Senior Support Worker | Milton Keynes | Full-time (37.5 hours per week) At MacIntyre, we're not just a service. We're a community rooted in kindness, inclusion and respect. We walk alongside people with learning disabilities, supporting them to live with independence, confidence and joy. If you're an experienced support worker ready to take on a leadership role while staying closely connected to the people we support, this could be your next step.
We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our friendly and passionate team in Milton Keynes. This role covers both supported living and outreach services, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live life on their own terms.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll do more than just lead. You'll inspire. You'll provide hands-on support while also guiding and coaching your team to deliver consistently high standards of care and support. Whether it's creating meaningful rotas, supporting with medication or coaching colleagues through day-to-day challenges, your leadership will set the tone.
You'll work closely with our Frontline Manager, helping to maintain the smooth running of the service and making sure every person we support is safe, happy and thriving. You'll also supervise team members, conduct observations, provide constructive feedback and identify training needs that help everyone grow in confidence and skill.
Person-Centred, Community-Focused
The people we support lead vibrant lives full of activity, connection and joy. From bowling and singing to gardening and community events, your role will involve encouraging and supporting each person to stay active, involved and engaged.
We believe support doesn't stop at the front door. A key part of your role will be developing our Everyone Everywhere initiative, raising awareness of MacIntyre within the local community and supporting people to take part, contribute and feel truly included.
You'll also play a vital role in promoting health and wellbeing, noticing and responding to any changes in health needs with care and sensitivity.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with experience supporting people with learning disabilities, who brings a warm, patient and person-centred approach. You'll be confident working independently as well as part of a team, and able to support others through reflection, encouragement and clear communication. You'll be someone who leads by example, brings calm and positivity to even the busiest days, and genuinely finds purpose in helping others live their best lives.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with a rota that includes early (07:30 to 15:00) and late (14:30 to 22:00) shifts, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. In return, we offer opportunities for training, development and progression through our leadership pathway. At MacIntyre, we invest in our people just as much as the people we support. You'll be part of a team that values openness, support and shared success.
Ready to take the next step in your journey with purpose? We'd love to hear from you.
