How you'll make a difference:As a Housing Assistant, you will be working to provide safe emergency accommodation and relieve homelessness within South Gloucestershire. You will be assisting households into temporary and longer-term accommodation, contributing to the council's statutory duty. What you will be doing:

• It will be your responsibility to identify and assess suitability of offered accommodation for households.
• Regularly, you will lead the sign-up processes and ensure documents are accurate.
• It will be key for you to maintain accurate electronic records for all households and placements within emergency accommodation and private sector access schemes.
• You will assist with rent collection and maintaining budgets/financial information.
  
  It is essential you hold an NVQ 3 qualification or have equivalent housing and support experience.
• Due to the nature of this role, you must have relevant practical experience in administration and proven high levels of customer service.
• We require you to have general knowledge of the relevant housing legislation.
• You will have an ability to confidently use IT systems, databases and Microsoft packages.
