  • have knowledge and understanding of Early Years and SEND effective practice and issues.
  • provide support and advice to families of children with complex needs, empowering parents and carers to develop their child's play and learning.
  • support professionals in settings to develop their skills and capacity to promote positive outcomes at the point of transition.
  • have the ability to be part of the 'team around the child', working flexibly alongside not only families but colleagues from Health, Education, Social Care and the community, to ensure positive outcomes.
  • have the ability to work under pressure, meeting unpredictable deadlines and managing competing demands effectively, thinking creatively to find solutions.
