We pride ourselves in promoting independence and choice, enabling the people we support to achieve their best life experience. At Avalon, we live everyday by our values of respect, honesty, learning & development, inclusion and partnership working.

Looking for a fulfilling and rewarding job that works for you?

As a service that operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, our Clarence Gardens service in Wakefield (West Yorkshire) offers essential respite care for up to four adults with autism, learning disabilities, and/or physical disabilities.

We're looking for Support Workers to be primarily based at the respite service, however there may also be opportunity to work across the wider Avalon services in West Yorkshire. Full-time, part-time, and casual contract options are available, allowing you to join a new role which respects any commitments you already have.

As a Support Worker, you'll be part of an experienced and passionate team delivering vital support to our customers, including personal care and administration of medication. In this short breaks service, your support will also be providing valuable respite for our customer's friends and family - this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference within your community.

You don't need any previous experience or qualifications - we're looking for compassionate, driven, and caring individuals who are enthusiastic about making a difference to people's lives and delivering the highest possible quality of care. Whether you are experienced in care or are looking to start a new meaningful and rewarding career, our in-house training team will ensure that you have all the additional skills you need to deliver your role with confidence.
