Full Job Description
Staff have a responsibility to be positive in their relationships with pupils and supportive of each other. We have a responsibilty to ensure every moment a child is in our school will be spent productively. Through thorough use of evidence we will enable all children to make excellent progress. Our motto is "...to be the best we can be..." We maintain a relentless focus on raising standards of achievement so that all pupils have opportunites to achieve their full potential.
We expect all staff to maintain the highest professional standards at all times. We put children first. Staff are prepared to go the extra mile to provide the best possible education for their pupils. Our aim should always be to provide for the pupils of our school what we would want for our own children. In order to do this we maintain a rigorous focus on: accelerating and improving attainment and progress, improving the quality of teaching and learning so that it is at least strongly good, effective leadership and accountability structures and ensuring consistent application of agreed systems and processes throughout all TILT schools.
The Island Learning Trust was established on 1st November 2016. The MAT was comprised of Minster Primary and Halfway Houses Primary, both schools are on the Isle of Sheppey, an area of high deprivation and socio economic challenges. These two founding schools are both Ofsted rated good schools. The outcomes at Minster Primary are outstanding. Sunny Bank Primary School in Sittingbourne joined TILT in February 2020 under a sponsorship arrangement and significant all round improvement has been made with the support of the MAT.
The Island Learning Trust are looking to appoint 2 After School Club Assistants at Halfway Houses Primary school. The full time salary for this position is £24513 with an actual salary of £3500. This is a term time only position working 38 weeks per year and the hours of work are 3:30pm to 6pm Monday to Friday working alternate weeks. Each assistant would be expected to cover the others absence. Should this provision grow then there is the potential for increased hours.
We are looking to appoint caring, organised and enthusiastic After School Club Assistants to help our After School Club Manager with the smooth running of the provision. The ideal candidates will have experience in working with children in a play or educational setting, be warm and approachable and have first aid and safeguarding training.
If you are passionate about providing a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children outside of school hours, enjoy working as part of a team and are committed to supporting the wellbeing and development of every child then please apply. In return we offer a chance to shape this new After School provision within a supportive school community. This will be a fun and rewarding role where no 2 days will be the same.
The successful candidate will be joining a well-established team at Halfway Houses who are energetic and passionate about their pupils' learning and wellbeing. They are a dynamic and highly supportive staff team with a sunny outlook, who always put children first! Please take a look at our school and Trust websites to find out more about The Island Learning Trust community and why we always encourage everyone
'to be the best we can be'
The Island Learning Trust reserves the right to withdraw this advert if a suitable candidate is appointed prior to the closing date
The Island Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding. The Trust is committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
