Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Service Team as our next Housing Support Assessor.

This function will be the first point of contact for customers who require access to support, information or advice to support tenancy sustainment and prevent homelessness or housing crisis.

You will conduct assessments in the manner most accessible to the customer, such as telephone, video calling, face to face and by email, whilst keeping case notes and reporting systems up-to-date.

You, through your role, will promote independence, reduce social isolation and support access to community services.

You will have previous experience preferably in a Housing Support environment, but this could also be in social care or a customer focussed environment.

As you will be working with customers 1-to-1, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills, including good negotiation and advocacy skills.

Working with case notes, you will also have strong attention to detail.

The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence with your access to your own car is required or alternative transport., Disability Confident
