The Design Technician will assist the Design Team Manager and Designers with production of drawing packages, whilst complying with the Quality, Health and Safety procedures of the Company. Mechanical or Electrical graduates can be considered.

Client Details

Our client is a leading manufacturing and production business who support various industries such as student accommodation, hotels, military and health care who are looking to grow the team by adding a design engineer near Highbridge.

Description

The Design Technician will:

Assist with all design work including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Detail, Fabrication, Wall Panel drawings, Howick design, BoM's either in Solid Works/AutoCAD 2/3D to be in compliance with Quality procedures, CDM regulations, Building Standards, relevant statutory requirements and any other relevant standards.

Assist with all drawings and specifications are checked for accuracy and approved before issue.

Assist with drawing and documentation filing system to the required standards.

Work closely with the factory personnel to ensure optimum design and buildability of the product.

Work with the Design Engineers with copying and issuing design office documentation to the required standards within previously agreed timescales.

Profile

The Design Technician will be confident in using Solid Works / AutoCAD 2/3D or similar 3D software packages.

Mechanical or electrical degree is desirable or you will have experience of domestic plumbing/electrics and and/or understanding of bathroom fit out and finishes.

Proficient in using a computer is essential along with driving licence due to limited public transport links to Highbridge.
