Maintenance Engineer – Plastic-to-Fuels/Chemical Recycling

Maintenance Engineer required for a forward thinking and innovative company in a growth stage. This is a new and exciting opportunity for a dual skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias looking for a role where you can be a key player in the business and progress your career.

About Us

Our client is a cleantech and project development company focusing on developing a waste management thermal conversion technology that is commercially viable, scalable, and globally deployable. As part of the role you will be working in a small team to trial plastic feedstocks in order to gain offtake and feedstock agreements, and increase understanding of plastic-to-fuels and chemical recycling via thermal conversion.

About the role:

The successful candidate will come from a maintenance background , ideally from a manufacturing / industrial background. The role is at a new chemical processing facility and the successful engineer will be assisting the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the plant along with the Senior Engineer. You’ll be assisting in the installation and commissioning, implementation of a PPM schedule, rectifying faults, and plant improvements. You’ll also work closely with the Principle Chemical Engineer and processing and production to ensure optimum performance, and you will be responsible for writing reports of plant operation.

This is an exciting and varied role within a forward thinking company who will provide in house training on their bespoke equipment.

The role in brief:

*Operating of machines.

*PPM and reactive maintenance.

*Installation and commissioning when required.

*Scheduling and planning.

*Report writing.

*Adhere to all H&S.

*Supervision of contractors.

*Day based role 40 hours a week.

The Person required :

*Must have completed a registered apprenticeship.

*Must have City and Guilds level 3 or BTEC or NVQ in installation maintenance

*Must have 18th edition IEE regulations.

*Good fault finding and diagnostic skills.

*Single and 3 phase knowledge

*PLC knowledge

*Proficient in Microsoft office
