HEAD OF SUPPORT SERVICES 

SALARY RANGE £45,854 - £50,058 PER ANNUM  

37.5 HOURS PER WEEK - PERMANENT 

A permanent role has arisen for a highly organised, self-motivated and customer focused individual to take responsibility for the strategic and operational leadership of the Hospices Support Services. 

As Head of Support Services you would support the Hospice achieve its business objectives through delivering strategic, operational and inclusive leadership and ensure we meet legal and statutory requirements in providing a safe environment for staff, volunteers, patients and visitors.  This includes managing the general maintenance needs of Hospice buildings, ensuring that all mechanical and electrical plant conform to legislation or policy.    

The successful candidate will need: 

  • Evidence of knowledge and practical application of service redesign methodologies
  • Experience of managing and motivating teams
  • Experience of negotiating and managing contracts
  • Commercial acumen and budget management experience
  • Experience of planning and operationally managing projects 

The role requires excellent customer service and communication skills and will oversee areas such as Estates and Gardens, Security and Facilities. 

We are committed to helping anyone in our communities who is affected by life-limiting illness to receive excellent person-centred care.  All our Teams are part of this journey and Support Services are critical to ensuring our staff have the necessary facilities and buildings infrastructure in place to support the delivery of outstanding care.
