Project Administrator

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Salary:  £17,500 - £18,500

Project Administrator MENTA - The Enterprise Agency are committed to developing individuals to obtain business skills, knowledge and confidence to set up and grow their own business.  We are currently recruiting an ERDF Project Administrator to join our organisation based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The ERDF Administrator is a 2-year fixed term contract, on a full-time basis until August 2021 paying £17,500 to 18,500 pa depending on experience.

As an ERDF Project Administrator, you will be working for the ERDF Project Coordinator, to provide and be responsible for direct and proactive administrative support to the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Project Team. 

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of ERDF project administration and operational tasks.
  • To act as day to day coordinator of all ERDF administrative tasks undertaken by other members of the MENTA team, ensuring continuation of tasks covering holiday and sickness.
  • Undertake proactive communication with clients who are part of the ERDF project through email; telephone or face to face contact.
  • To manage the evidential paperwork for completions and business starts.
  • Develop a follow-up process and ensure timely contact with completions regarding when they start in business.
  • The main point of contact for Business Advisor / Trainers and ensure they have timely and relevant paperwork.
  • To work with the Project Coordinator regarding changes to administrative tasks and paperwork to meet contractual requirements.
  • Be flexible with job requirements and be prepared to assist with the smooth running of MENTA operations when required.
  • Some travel maybe required to travel to other parts of Suffolk and Norfolk on occasions

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Confident self-starter used to working as a team player in a busy environment.
  • Ability to organise workload and adapt/prioritise as necessary.
  • Ability to liaise with other administrative staff to ensure ERDF workload is achieved. 
  • An excellent and confident telephone manner.
  • Strong administrative skills, particularly the ability to use Word, Excel and Microsoft Office tools to a high standard.
  • A good command of the English language and its uses within an electronic environment such as Social Media and the Internet.
  • Ability to work flexibly across a diverse area of work.
  • Full clean driving licence

Please note this is an ERDF Funded Programme.

This is fantastic opportunity to join the MENTA team. Offering a salary of £17,500 - £18,500pa depending on experience, working on a fixed term contract until August 2021.  Hours are 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am 5.00pm.
