Full Job Description
We would expect our new Lecturer to undertake academic and academic-related responsibilities in the delivery of high quality education in Physiotherapy, working across speciality and professional skill elements. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and supervision of student research projects. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the management, scholarly activity and development of the Physiotherapy Programme at Oxford Brookes University.
This is a part time 0.4 fte role, fixed term for 3 years We provide pre-registration programmes at BSc and MSc degree levels, located within the School of Sport, Nutrition and Allied Health Professions (SNAHP) as part of the Faculty of Health, Science and Technology (HST). We have close synergies with other health-related programmes and research centres such as the Centre for Movement Occupational and Rehabilitation Sciences (MOReS). The post holder must have a graduate degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the HCPC.,
- Qualifications required for post: Physiotherapy degree, registration with the HCPC
- Experience of working in clinical physiotherapy/rehabilitation context or in Higher Education in a physiotherapy context
- Experience of teaching/mentoring students from Higher Education physiotherapy programmes
The role of Lecturer will not attract sufficient points to obtain a sponsored Skilled Worker visa due to the FTE as the salary will not be high enough to meet the minimum requirements.
