Full Job Description

As an Account Manager at CPM, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by selling our space and sampling propositions to brands, agencies, and space brokers. This position focuses on building and nurturing strong relationships, generating new business opportunities, and managing a robust sales pipeline. You will work closely with both internal client teams and external partners to identify and convert warm leads through targeted outreach and networking, primarily leveraging existing contacts and industry knowledge. Reporting directly to the Senior Account Manager, this role requires a proactive, confident individual with a solid background in agency or brand sales, ideally within the FMCG or retail media sectors. Paying up to £45K, 10% bonus, car allowance and more!,

  • Proactively sell in space and sampling propositions to brands, agencies, and space brokers, focusing on building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities to consistently drive revenue growth, while meeting an annal sales target.
  • Engage in lead generation through networking within the client office, LinkedIn outreach, and leveraging existing contacts to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the client team to gain access to brands and support the development of tailored proposals, including experiential and sampling campaigns.
  • Work primarily from the Leeds office at least three days a week, with flexibility to be present at client offices as required to nurture relationships and close deals.

    Proven experience in sales, particularly within agencies, brands, or retail media sales, demonstrating a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • A proactive and confident approach to lead generation and pipeline development, with the ability to engage space brokers, agencies, and brands through networking and targeted outreach.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to create compelling proposals and presentations with a creative flair.
  • Familiarity with the FMCG sector, ideally with experience in retail media sales or roles such as category planning, brand management, or working within the SMSG network.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on meeting revenue targets and contributing to the growth of the business through effective sales strategies.
  • What you'll need
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within agencies, brands, or retail media sales, with a strong network in FMCG and retail sectors
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and set KPIs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create compelling presentations and proposals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build and maintain relationships with space brokers, agencies, and client teams
  • Ability to work a minimum of three days per week in the Leeds office, with flexibility to be on client sites as required
  • Creative flair or experience in experiential marketing or sampling is advantageous but not essential
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to lead generation and pipeline development, using networking, LinkedIn, and other targeted outreach methods
  • Previous experience in category planning, retail media sales, or brand-side roles within FMCG is highly desirable
  • A well-established professional network ("black book") within the relevant industry is a significant plus
  • This role is not suitable for entry-level candidates; prior relevant experience and an existing network are essential for success

    Salary: Up to £45K basic salary DOE
