Housing Maintenance Officer - Goole Depot (West) Join Our Team - Make a Real Difference in your Community. We're offering an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our Housing Maintenance team, delivering high-quality, front-line services to residents. Based at our Goole Depot, the successful applicant will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining our social housing stock, managing void properties, and overseeing day-to-day repairs and maintenance operations. As part of the Housing and Safe Communities service, which is currently undergoing a programme of positive transformation, you'll play a vital role in driving forward service improvements. Experience in the construction or building maintenance industry and a strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation are essential. We're looking for someone with excellent customer service skills, a high standard of technical knowledge, and a proactive, solution-focused attitude. - Conducting property inspections and producing reports and schedules of work.
- Managing repairs to void properties and occupied homes.
- Preparing specifications and documentation to support procurement and contract management.
- Overseeing performance and compliance of contractors and in-house tradesmen.
- Monitoring budgets and maintenance spend across approximately 4,000 homes, including garages, and communal areas in the East area of the authority.
- Attending site visits and stakeholder meetings to monitor progress, resolve issues, and manage customer enquiries.
