Full Job Description
At Watkin Jones, we're currently recruiting for a Customer Service Operative to join our team. This hands-on role involves travelling to sites across the UK to diagnose and carry out repairs within occupied buildings, primarily focusing on multistorey residential developments., In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults and creating detailed schedules of work to resolve issues efficiently. You will carry out repairs across a variety of construction trades, using tools, construction equipment, and access equipment following appropriate training. A key part of the role involves liaising with customers to arrange and follow up on repair work, as well as coordinating and overseeing sub-contractors when needed to complete tasks. You will record repair activities and manage appointments using electronic devices and relevant software. Regular communication with the customer care team through updates and reports is expected. Working safely at height and ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies is essential, along with adhering to all company policies, procedures, and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
A Level 6 (Degree) qualification or significant and substantial experience in a relevant or related field is essential for this role as well as hold a valis CSCS card. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of ongoing training and a commitment to maintaining their professional status, as well as staying informed about developments, trends, and best practices within the sector. Strong knowledge of the construction industry, health and safety legislation, and best practices is required, along with an understanding of contract law as it relates to property and disputes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to manage time and workload effectively are also essential skills for success in this position.
