Full Job Description
The VacancyThe Graduate Asset & Insight Officer will play a key role in supporting the evaluation of our assets and how they perform. They will help to deliver strategic options appraisals that identify the best use of our assets, as well as contributing to Great Places' divestment and acquisition activity against corporate targets.What you will be doing (with support & training):
- Work with the Strategic Asset Manager to utilise the Asset Performance Model SHAPE to drive active asset management, including options appraisals and disposals.
- Collate and interpret information to support option appraisals, including financial tools, performance data, SAP ratings, adopted strategies and intelligence from colleagues and stakeholders. This will provide opportunities to gain cross-functional experience across the business with colleagues in Assets, Development, Customer Services, Repairs, Finance and Plumlife Sales.
- Utilise SHAPE to drive local strategies for asset use and informing our approaches to investment and sustainability across our portfolio.
- Work with the Strategic Asset Manager external consultants and colleagues to undertake options appraisals of residential and commercial assets, including individual properties, blocks and wider portfolios.
- Support tenanted stock transfers to other Registered Providers, including carrying out due diligence on prospective Landlords and supporting customer consultations with residents.
- Consult with colleagues across the business to inform your work and to communicate decisions regarding future use of assets.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained and suitable procedures are maintained and followed for changes to asset data following the disposal, acquisition, or change of use of any property in our portfolio.
- Support the Data Improvement Plan within Assets and the wider business.
- Provide weekly void reports analysis to the Strategic Asset Manager and support with Policy Void appraisals.
- Use Power BI reports and other business intelligence to provide performance summary updates to the Strategic Asset Manager and other colleagues.
- Attend and contribute to monthly Void Review Group and Strategic Asset Management Group meetings.
- Keep up-to-date with best practice and Regulatory requirements for asset management.
- Championing active asset management within the wider business and with external stakeholders.
- Horizon scanning sector change, innovative asset interventions and new national, or regional policy changes in relation to active asset management.
- Ensuring the responsibilities of the post are carried out in a way that reflects the standards, vision and values of Great Places

A minimum 2:2 ideally within a relevant subject area, or an interest in this subject area - A clean UK driving licence and access to a car is required

- Demonstrate aptitude for problem solving and creative thinking when approaching tasks.
- Keen eye for detail and good organisational skills
- Experience of working in a customer focused environment, with a proven ability of delivering customer service
- Competent level of ICT skills including the full range of Microsoft applications
