The CCN Health and Safety Team is looking for a Health and Safety professional to assist with the duty of care and compliance checks which need to be carried out with employers before students can start their industry placements. These placements can span many sectors such as construction, engineering, catering, beauty, agriculture, floristry and many more. You will need to be able to gather key information, apply your health and safety knowledge, and be able to advise on the suitability of the placement.
You will need to hold a NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum and have access to your own vehicle. Experience carrying out workplace safety inspections is desirable. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and organise your workload are key aspects of the role. Demand for work placements will vary across the year, with the autumn period being the busiest, then carrying on up till late April and May when workloads decline across the summer.
