  • At TUV SUD, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects that meet and exceed client expectations. Our team is committed to ensuring that every project is delivered on-time, on-spec, and within budget. We are looking for Project Manager to join our team and lead our projects to success.
  • As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of project management procedures and ensuring that projects are executed smoothly from start to finish. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including the sales team, to ensure a seamless transition from sales to project management. Your role will involve defining project scope, creating and maintaining project plans and budgets, managing resources, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Ensure adherence to the division's project management procedures. Oversee project delivery to ensure it meets timelines, specifications, and budget constraints.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work with the sales team to facilitate a smooth handover of projects from the sales phase to the project management phase.
  • Scope & Objectives: Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.
  • Planning & Budgeting: Develop comprehensive project plans and budgets at initiation. Maintain and update these throughout the project lifecycle in response to progress and changes.
  • Financial Reviews: Conduct monthly financial reviews with the division's financial controller and management, ensuring all materials are prepared and current.
  • Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources including personnel, materials, and equipment effectively.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Time & Cost Management: Ensure projects are completed within the agreed timeframe and budget, overseeing all associated costs.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and address any emerging issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards and project objectives.
  • Team Management: Oversee and support the project team, assign tasks, and resolve conflicts as they arise.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met throughout the project.

    Essential criteria:
  • Project management certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.
  • Knowledge and application of key project management principles, evidenced through a demonstrable track record, with experience in managing projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead project teams, motivate team members, and provide guidance when required, and the ability to make decisions under pressure and manage conflicts.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload based on business requirements.
  • A good understanding of practical financial issues and commercial fundamentals which contribute to the customer experience and contribute to the profitability of the business.
  • Experience in managing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring that the project is completed within the allocated budget.
  • Able to identify and manage project risks and develop contingency plans if required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and be able to find creative solutions to challenges that arise during the project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite of applications.
  • Desirable criteria:
  • Knowledge or experience related to flow measurements, possibly including a relevant qualification or STEM degree.
  • Testing, Inspection and Certification industry knowledge.
