Full Job Description
You will assist the Senior Campaign Manager (High Output) in the safe delivery of projects to achieve safety, cost, time and quality objectives within corporate guidelines and to develop appropriate delivery and supply strategies and plans for specific projects. You will assist with Senior Campaign Manager (High Output) in the engineering and project development, of all allocated schemes so that they comply with the requirements of the Governance of Railway Investment Projects (GRIP4Track), relevant standard and regulatory obligations This role covers the whole NW&C route, site visits are required to liaise with maintenance teams from Carlisle to Bletchley on the West Coast and down to Worcester on the Central, this is in line with the sites of our renewals. Staying away overnight may be needed occasionally as part of this role's fatigue management., 1. Assist Development Engineers teams to deliver a timely submission of products in compliance with Grip4Track process including the transfer of information to the Delivery team. 2. Responsible for the creation of Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, commissioning plans and other project documentation to enable briefing of staff on site. 3. Support the Senior Campaign Manager in the development of projects to prepare the programme that reflects the availability of resources and materials to enable safe and efficient delivery of the works. 4. Comply with the requirements of industry legislation (CDM), standards and client specifications to deliver each campaign. 5. Provide construction management input to the project works, particularly advice regarding construction/ implementation/ 'constructability', with scope to include: pre-possession planning, construction/ implementation reviews and Qualitative Schedules Risk Assessments. 6. Undertake appropriate liaison with the Network Rail Asset Maintenance organisation during the design and prepare phase, where the project works will/ may affect maintained assets and deliver projects compliant with the IP-Track Asset Management Plan. 7. Report weekly progress against programme. 8. Work with the delivery team to identify unplanned works. 9. For the project works being managed identify issues on site that may result in cost variation and report them to the project team, providing assistance in the valuation of these cost variations. 10. Be responsible for site surveillance to assess compliance to all specifications and methodologies for delivery of the project. 11. Identify areas where a 'continuous improvement' approach to construction management could bring benefit, and provide background information, costs and benefits to enable the best practices to be effectively disseminated., Hours: 35 hours per week with extensive travel as this role covers the whole NW&C route, site visits are required to liaise with maintenance teams from Carlisle to Bletchley on the West Coast and down to Worcester on the Central. - Experience in the scope development, planning and delivery of Track Renewals
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and 'Clienting' skills
- General knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations
