Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering transformational change to improve Place based Health services in Great Yarmouth and Waveney . The role will work with colleagues across the Health and Social Care system to support the delivery of a portfolio of programmes and projects. The Programme team here at EastCoast Community Healthcare (ECCH) is made up of friendly, dynamic, supportive and skilled project professionals with a great ethos and drive for delivery. If you are passionate about change and have the skills and experience to lead Programmes and projects to address health inequalities, enhance access to Healthcare and drive improvements to Community Health Outcomes, then this role is for you. Applicants should have significant experience of managing programmes and delivering business change through the complete lifecycle from scoping and definition to demonstrating benefits realised. Strong stakeholder management is also required as key to the role is the building of relationships and engagement with external stakeholders and partners. There will be option to work from home for some days - pattern may vary according to demands of the job. Following the announcement of a 3.6% Agenda for Change pay award, this role will be eligible for a salary increase effective in August 2025 pay.   • Effective Programme management of programmes and projects, creating an environment for success, liaising with, reporting to and providing assurance to stakeholders, senior management and Executive teams
  • Follow established Programme Management methodology to project and programme delivery that supports organisational change and the realisation of benefits to meet strategic objectives
  • To plan and design programmes and proactively monitor their overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action and escalation as appropriate
  • Lead responsibility for the effective management of issues, conflicts, priorities and stakeholder communications
  • Develop robust partnership working arrangements and build strong relationships with, commissioners, partner organisations, service user representatives and other stakeholders in order to support and enhance Programme delivery
  • To act as an advocate for the programmes at senior and executive levels and ensure active engagement and sponsorship
  • To network and benchmark national and regional best practices and incorporate appropriate innovation within the programme
  • Manage all programmes/projects allocated through to delivery, adjusting project plans in line with changing needs and requirements. Manage a series of concurrent projects directly and indirectly
  • Ensure agreed and documented key performance indicators, benefits and savings with agreed timescales

    The Programme Team is a busy environment, and the successful candidate must be able to prioritise their own workload, manage their time and complete tasks against the required time-frames and will be required to have a flexible approach to working to meet the demands of programme and project delivery. You will be required to manage a varied workload and should be able to work autonomously and as part of a team. We use both traditional and Agile project management methodologies and experience of both would be an advantage.
