Full Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple MEP projects across Southern England. In this pivotal role, you'll provide operational leadership and strategic oversight while working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and site teams to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is home-based, with travel required to project sites across the region and one day per week at the company's headquarters in the West Midlands for strategic meetings and collaboration.,

  • Lead the end-to-end management of multiple concurrent MEP projects across Southern England.
  • Participate in tender handovers and project initiation to ensure a seamless transition into the construction phase.
  • Support and direct Project Managers and site teams, ensuring alignment across health & safety, scheduling, financial performance, and quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee and validate commissioning strategies to ensure they integrate with the overall project timeline.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.
  • Monitor KPIs, risk management processes, and financial outcomes, ensuring cohesive effort across operational and commercial functions.
  • Deliver regular progress updates and strategic input during head office visits and site inspections.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to foster trust and ensure repeat business.

Proven background in managing large-scale MEP projects, ideally with a mechanical or electrical discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic construction environment.
  • Expertise in project control, budget management, and commissioning practices.
  • Inspirational leadership style with a focus on team development and performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and commercial acumen, able to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for site and office meetings.

Join a highly respected MEP contractor with over four decades of expertise in delivering comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health solutions. Operating across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, this business has built a stellar reputation for quality and reliability in sectors including Industrial, Logistics, Food Production, Pharmaceuticals, Data Centres, Healthcare, Commercial Developments, and Luxury Residential Projects.
  • Specializing in end-to-end project execution-from initial design through to installation, commissioning, and maintenance-the company is known for its innovation, high safety standards, and consistent delivery on technically demanding, high-value contracts.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a progressive and well-established business that prioritises its people, innovation, and high-quality project delivery.
  • Competitive salary and full benefits package
  • Flexible, remote-first work model with weekly travel support
  • Career development through ongoing training and mentorship
  • Health and wellbeing initiatives
  • A collaborative team environment that values initiative and leadership
