We are looking for a Lead Delivery Manager to join as part of the new Digital Delivery Team within the Operations Directorate, where you will play a pivotal role in transitioning from traditional project delivery to a product orientated delivery operating model, that meets the evolving needs of our service providers and users., The post holder will help to be accountable for leading a multidisciplinary teams as part of the Operations Directorate, creating an environment that enables delivery at pace in line with DHCW and NHS Wales standards and procedures. You will line manage the scrum team, remove blockers, lead the team in Agile ceremonies and project management meetings, working closely with Product and Service Managers to lead the Delivery Team, tracking and reporting on progress.
Fundamental to this role is a focus on creating an efficient, organised and productive environment to enable the team to deliver. Managing the day-to-day progress of the Delivery Team, building effective working relationships across all stakeholders. Promoting the right mindset of the team and encouraging commitment and participation from all team members. Keeping the Delivery Team focussed on priorities as agreed with the Product and Service Managers and aligning sprint goals to the project or programme milestones and strategic objectives., As an experienced Agile Delivery Manager and, or Project Manager you will:
+ Expertly coach and lead teams in Agile and Lean practices and act as a recognised expert and advocate for the approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team.
+ Coach, train and mentor other teams as the central point of expertise.
+ Apply highly developed specialist knowledge across a range of work procedures and practices, underpinning theoretical knowledge and relevant practical experience.
+ Identify and overcome obstacles by providing positive support through to resolution
+ Create or tailor new ways of working and constantly innovate.
+ Visualise outcomes and clearly articulate and engage buy-in and trust
Building on effective project controls and strong planning skills to ensure the coordination and implementation of organisational and national programmes, projects and workstreams across the Operations Directorate Portfolio including:
+ DevOps - optimising software capability and performance, driving automation and integration
+ Open Architecture - adopt the architecture framework and principles to accelerate product and service delivery
+ Cyber Security - reducing the risk of cyber threats and vulnerabilities, and improving NHS Wales security posture
+ Cloud - adopt Cloud native platform architectures and utilise modern digital tools and capabilities to maintain critical IT infrastructure
