Full Job Description
- Advising and reviewing manufacturing processes and associated documentation
- Overseeing internal and external auditors/investigators
- Leading the way with safety discussions
- Supervising and advising on SHE issues including wellbeing and occupational health
- Proactively supporting continuous improvement ideas for the production area
- Being an active member of an incident and emergency response team
- Liaising with other functions at all levels within the business including external organisations and regulators
- Keeping up to date with current and changing legislation, Step into a pivotal role as a SHE Advisor at a high-performing, upper-tier COMAH facility where safety is at the heart of everything we do. You'll lead SHE initiatives, deliver training, review risk assessments, and inspire a positive safety culture across manufacturing and engineering teams. Reporting to the SHE Manager and managing a SHE Coordinator, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. Holding the NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) - Completed the NEBOSH Certificate or Equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety
- Experience and knowledge of different types of Risk Assessments e.g. COSHH, PUWER, LOLER
- Hands-on experience of conducting accident and incident investigations and audits
- Background in a heavy engineering environment Desirable:
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry i.e. COMAH, Chemical, Gas
