Full Job Description
Whilst working as part of the Process team, the Cutter Deck Operator is responsible for checking and monitoring the slicing of potatoes into French Fries according to current production specifications. Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Checking cutters for size and irregular cuts
- Checking for correct set up replacing boxes, cutting blades and tubes, checking all plant is functioning correctly
- Checking product for cut quality and that the product conforms to current product specifications
- Filling all water systems, Preheaters, Metering tanks, Pump tanks and Flumes
- Checking and monitoring all machinery is functioning and setting up equipment for specified
- Completing all necessary paperwork and procedures fully, accurately and without omissions for i.e. potato size and hourly temperature checks, safe isolation, start up check sheets and cleaning records
- Preparing and changing over cutting systems with changing cuts
- Checking, running and maintaining both the Crinkle and Home Roast systems
- Monitoring the graders and camera systems for correct potatoes entering the correct cutter gun, adjusting as required
- Monitoring the two-way grader operation and adjusts as required for correct preheating of potatoes
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of operating machinery in a food manufacturing environment, who can use their own initiative and excellent attention to detail.

The shift pattern is four on / four off - 2 days 6am-6pm, 2 nights 6pm-6am followed by 4 days off.
