Full Job Description
Are you an experienced Material Planner or Production Scheduler looking to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive professional to join a dynamic team at a globally recognised engineering and manufacturing organisation. What You'll Be Doing: As a Shop Scheduler & Material Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and timely flow of work throughout our advanced manufacturing facility. You'll be involved in both office-based planning and shop floor coordination, handling everything from work order generation to supplier liaison and logistical planning. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage shop floor documentation and schedules
- Prioritise and track work orders in line with the manufacturing plan
- Coordinate material availability and movement to meet production targets
- Liaise with suppliers, stores, logistics, engineering, and planning teams
- Identify and resolve planning discrepancies
- Ensure all schedules align with MRP plans and customer requirements
Proven experience in material planning or production scheduling within a manufacturing environment - Familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100 standards is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable using ERP systems and managing databases
- Highly organised with a sharp eye for detail
- Effective communicator and confident multitasker, GCSEs (A-C) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (desirable)
- Project Management skills (advantageous)
- A collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
