Full Job Description

We are now recruiting an R&D LTS MU Project Lead to manage and nurture teams working on new product development programmes. This role is all about developing team members and overseeing the various project teams to ensure projects are completed within agreed timescales, budget and scope.,

  • Acts as an interface between Manufacturing Unit & R&D Product Development Centres.
  • Own the transition of formulas from R&D-PDC to manufacturing.
  • Ensure that new products can be efficiently manufactured to an appropriate quality standard.
  • Nurture, coach, appraise & develop project team members.
  • Create an open environment in the project team to encourage people to perform at their best and ensure an engaged project team.
  • Support continuous improvement of existing recipes & quality standards within the production units.
  • Participate in complaint handling.
  • Identify opportunities to improve plant productivity.
  • Ensure work follows 5S standard.

    Degree qualified.
  • Experience in an R&D environment.
  • Experience of nurturing & coaching teams.
  • Excellent practical & laboratory skills.
  • Understands processes of product implementation.
  • Effective at managing teams to deliver projects.

  • Knowledge of paint formulating, manufacturing and industrialisation processes.
