Full Job Description

Would you like to work 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) in a hybrid working model (2 days in office, 3 days at home)? Working in a friendly international business, close to Reading.,

  • Ensure prompt technical support to all customers, sales staff & XP distribution partners
  • Liaises with other XP departments to ensure that the required information is available when needed and customer requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Work with the sales directors and managers to contribute to the profitable growth of our business in this industry sector, including applications support & project management over a range of products (standard & modified standard), testing & evaluation, customer & support liaison and customer & supplier visits
  • Stay abreast of and contribute to standard product developments
  • Maintain an in depth knowledge of existing & new legislation / specifications, relevant power products and its impact on our product range and be able to discuss competently with internal & external customers.
  • Ensure that customer specific products are verified and delivered to customer requirement. These are typically modified standard and value added style developments designed around standard power supplies and DC / DC converters, using either internal or external design & manufacturing resources as appropriate
  • Ensure that customer specific product developments are completed on time and within budget using either internal or external resources as appropriate
  • Provide product information and training including attendance of relevant sales / technical meetings
  • Maintain good relations with suppliers
  • Maintain the following internal information : Datasheet database, applications notes, approval documents, technical response documents, BOMs, test specification, build instructions etc.
  • Maintain an accurate data on our internal systems, SharePoint, S4H(SAP), Salesforce

    Bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering field or relevant experience
  • Proven experience working within sales and engineering
  • Demonstratable experience in customer facing roles
  • Ability to engage with the cross functional teams to get things done
  • Great people skills
  • Flexible and growth mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong training skills with desirable
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Salesforce and SAP / S4 and Sharepoint knowledge is advantageous
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Power Supply, Industrial and Medical Industry background preferred
